Sleeps up to 4. Laverne is a one-bedroom historic cottage perched above and behind Lava Flo with incredible views of downtown with a fabulous new deck. The house was originally a parsonage, housing traveling preachers in the 1950s. The modern kitchen has tile countertops, a gas range, dishwasher, and built-in vintage formica booth seating. The single bedroom has a queen-sized bed, vaulted ceilings and high transom windows, providing tons of natural light. In the living room there is a sofa that converts to a full sized sleeper sofa. There is also a twin bed off the living room, in an alcove (with a privacy screen that provides a little separation from the living room). Laverne is ideal for a couple, but offers the versatility to lodge three adults in separate beds.
This house is comparatively small, but enjoys a unique vantage point, surrounded by windows while still affording privacy in every direction. During warmer weather the deck functions like an outdoor living room. The floors are original oak and Marmoleum. There is ductless heat/air-conditioning, as well as a gas stove in the living room. Laverne is pet-friendly and has a small fenced front yard.
