The Church

Historic Tabernacle Alliance Church Conversion

Description

Sleeps up to 8. The Alliance Tabernacle Church, built in 1923, is reported to be the first house of worship west of the Mississippi to be built entirely by volunteers from the congregation. By the 1970s the building had fallen into disrepair and the congregation disbanded. Beginning in October 2014 the current owners began the process of restoring the building to it’s original condition under the supervision of the Historic Landmark Commission. The restoration included removing an over-roof to reveal the original monitor-style central windows down the ridge of the building.

The Church has three bedroom and three bathrooms with an additional two sleeping lofts (each with two twins convertible beds – ideal space for kids) comfortably housing up to 8 people. The Sanctuary was preserved as a large, open space with modern cherry cabinets, Caesarstone counters, gas range, and high end appliances. There is a separate laundry room/mud room for storing gear. The yard is large, private, and enclosed with a propane bbq. There is dedicated WIFI, smart TVs with Netflix and Hulu, and a stereo system.
