Laverne (one bedroom plus/ accommodates up to four)
Laverne is a one-bedroom historic cottage perched above and behind Lava Flo with incredible views of downtown and a large outdoor deck. The house was originally a parsonage for the church but now boasts a slightly less austere identity. The 1950s inspired kitchen has tile countertops, a gas range, and built-in formica booth seating. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, vaulted ceilings and high transom windows next to the loft, providing tons of natural light. The living room is adjacent to a windowed alcove providing mountain views and sleeping accommodations for an additional two people on a full-sized bed. This house is comparatively small but enjoys a unique vantage point and is surrounded by windows while still affording privacy in every direction. The floors are original oak and marmoleum. The bedding is all allergin-free and washed between each user, using environmentally friendly cleaning products. Laverne is equipped with a washer/dryer, a gas stove, gas range, TV, wireless internet, fully-stocked kitchen, and gas grill on the incredible deck.
Laverne is pet-friendly and enjoys a small, covered, fenced yard accessed through a spiral staircase off the deck, as well as a small fenced front yard. There is ample street parking on Lava Road.
Rental includes free passes to McMenamin's Turkish Soaking Pool and Movie Theatre.
Rates: $150/night. $750/week.
$50 cleaning fee. $20 a dog. 10% occupancy tax. $150 fully refundable deposit required upon reservation. 50% deposit within 30 days of reservation, or at time of reservation if made within 30 days of arrival. Balance due one week before arrival.
Holiday rates: $175 night, four night minimum.
