Lava Flo (three bedroom/ accommodates up to 8 people)
Lava Flo is a large three bedroom Craftsman Bungalow located on Lava Road between Franklin and Louisiana, directly across the street from the McMenamins Art House. The neighborhood is remarkably quiet, in spite of it’s proximity to downtown, in large part due to the neighbors: a school, a rectory, and a church! Flo has one a half baths, with a historic ceramic tiled cast iron bathtub, and a huge, tiered yard full of lava rock walls and fruit trees. Flo also includes a hot tub, gas range, stainless appliances, large-screen TV, wireless internet, gas grill, and comfortable mid-century modern furniture. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and the third has two twin beds. The house can easily accommodate six people but comes equipped with two single futons for an additional two houseguests. There is an attached laundry room at the back of the house with a washer/dryer, and off-street parking for up to four cars.
Pets are welcome at Flo. The yard is fenced with a historic iron fence, rock walls and cedar fencing. The house is equipped with substantial cooking equipment and extra sheets, towels, blankets, DVDs, books, and information regarding diversions around Central Oregon.
Some of the environmentally friendly materials used in the remodel of Lava Flo include cork floors in the master bedroom, marmoleum solid-surface flooring in bathrooms and kitchen, recycled content kitchen countertops, and low VOC paints. The house is complimented by original old-growth fir flooring in the vaulted-ceiling living room and bedrooms. We do not use pesticides or herbicides in the yard, out of respect for our bird-neighbors and dog companions.
All rentals include free passes to McMenamin's Turkish Soaking Pool and Movie Theatre.
Rates:
$250/night. Two night minimum. Weekly rate: $1250.
$100
cleaning fee for each stay. $20 charge for each dog. 10% occupancy tax.
$400 fully refundable deposit required upon reservation. 50% deposit
within 30 days of reservation, or at time of reservation if made within
30 days of arrival. Balance due one week before arrival.
Holiday Rates: $300 night with a 4-night minimum. Call for dates.
