Welcome to Lavabelles, a unique group of historic, craftsman homes conveniently located in downtown Bend, centered around around Lava Road between Franklin Avenue and Louisiana Ave. The historic homes are bordered by the original Catholic Church and rectory, the Montessori School, and located directly across the street from the McMenamin's Old St. Francis School. We offer environmentally, pet and child-friendly nightly or weekly lodging in your choice of five homes, each of which has it's own style, history, and story to tell. New this winter, we also offer free access to McMenamins Turkish Soaking Pool and Movie Theatre to all Lavabelles guests!

Our original home, Flo
, is literally across Lava Road from the McMenamin's St. Francis School hotel and restaurant complex.

On the eastern edge and highest point is Lucinder, a radical historic renovation (from the foundation to the clear fir beadboard) that feels more like a mid-century modern house on the inside and has striking views of downtown and the mountains.

Nestled in between Lucinder and Flo is Laverne, a former parsonage, that also boasts mountain and downtown views and feels like a swinging 1950s bachelor pad.

Caldera is our two-bedroom, two-bath, just three doors down Lava from Flo. Caldera has expansive views of downtown off the historic front porch, as well as a large, private fenced yard with hot tub.

Stella is our mid-century home on Awbrey Butte with mountain views.

STELLA

Cascadia is our four bedroom, three bath home on the banks of the Deschutes River and centrally located in Downtown Bend. From the front porch you can watch early morning fly-fishing at Drake Park, the crown jewel of Bend’s park system, and by mid summer’s day you are within a stone’s throw of Bend Farmer’s Market.

Each home is the product of meticulous historic restoration on the exterior, coupled with an appreciation for sustainable building materials and stylistic elements of the machine age and modern Americana on the inside. Each house is furnished with wood, cork, and marmoleum flooring, gas ranges, recycled solid surface countertops and mid-century modern furniture.

We offer each house for rent individually or in combination. The houses are actually separate properties and feel like separate, adjacent properties, but have the physical proximity to facilitate easily shared space, if desired. Each house has a fenced yard, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, cable, wireless internet, phone with free long distance, gas grills, gas heat and air conditioning.

Pets are welcome, provided they are accompanied by responsible companion owners.

All of the houses are non-smoking and cleaned and stocked with non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaning products.
